X-Men Movie

Will 'X-Men' Fans Accept a 'Gossip Girl' Script?by Matt McDaniel    November 20, 2008 Professor X and Magneto. Wolverine and Sabretooh. Serena and Blair?

It was announced on Wednesday that Josh Schwartz, the creator of the TV teen dramas "The O.C." and "Gossip Girl," will be writing "X-Men: First Class," another installment of the superhero franchise. Variety reports that the new film will focus on the students at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, rather than the adults like Wolverine and Storm.
On paper the deal seems to make sense: Schwartz is a writer with a proven track record for soapy high school angst; the comic book was originally envisioned by Stan Lee to be focused on mutant teenagers and their issues; and assembling the actors from the first three films has likely become too complicated and expensive to do again. But will the younger-skewing take alienate the true fans?
The previous movie, 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand," was the most financially successful of the series, bringing in over $234 million in the U.S. Some fans of the comic book, however, weren't happy with the liberties the script took with the source material. Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News spoke out on how the "Dark Phoenix" story from the book was shortchanged in the movie, writing, "I truly truly truly hate how they treated it." Others took exception to how major characters were killed off without much fanfare. David Cornelius at efilmcritic.com went so far as to call it "one of the very worst comic book films ever made."
So will Josh Schwartz's "First Class" franchise reboot push the core fanbase further away? It's difficult to say just yet. While he gained more notoriety for his shows about the rich and spoiled, Schwartz also co-created the geek-turned-spy series "Chuck," which is peppered with allusions to comics and sci-fi movies. And even if the fans reject this particular title, the franchise is branching out into other directions that might please them more.
Opening next year's summer movie season is "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," a prequel with Hugh Jackman returning to his breakout role. It will tell the story of how the mutant Logan was transformed into the metal-clawed superhero, with Liev Schreiber stepping into the role of his nemesis, Sabretooth. A brief montage of footage was shown at the San Diego Comic Con this past July to great applause. There was also a quick shot of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, another Marvel Comics character that may get his own spin-off movie.
Also in development is "Magneto," another "X-Men Origins" film about the early days of Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr before the two friends became enemies. David S. Goyer, the co-writer of "Batman Begins," is on board to direct, but no cast has been announced. Ian McKellen, who so memorably played the villain in the first three "X-Men" movies, said he is unlikely to return for that movie, joking with Empire Online that, "I don't think I could get away with playing a 19-year-old."
Still, as a big fan of director Bryan Singer's first two "X-Men" movies, I personally hold out hope that a teen-oriented "First Class" flick will still deliver. Some of the most affecting moments in those movies were centered on the younger characters. The scene where Rogue (Anna Paquin) nearly kills her first kiss with her mutation or when Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) shows his parents his abilities got to the heart of the dilemma that's been a part of the X-Men stories from the beginning. With any luck, Josh Schwartz will turn in a script that's more "X" than "CW."

Difference

i found this article interesting because it some how explains why some people find it difficult to get up in the morning.

The Truth Behind Night Owls and Morning People
By: Brie Cadman (View Profile)

I used to work with one of my roommates and getting up in the morning and heading to our job proved to be one of the most trying times in our friendship. I was up with the alarm clock and onto my morning routine, whereas she would stay in bed well past the ringing. Convinced we would be late, I’d go in and give her some gentle nudging, which never went over well. She’d grumble and complain; sometimes she’d hurl insults like “Leave me alone,” or “I hate you,” or simply, “Die.” Offended, I’d sulk away, even more convinced of our impending tardiness. Later on, over a strong cup of coffee, she’d apologize and we’d have a good laugh, only for the same routine to be repeated the following morning.

Get Up by Your Own CLOCK
As it turns out, our sleeping preferences weren’t just due to the fact that I responded better to the alarm. The circadian rhythm, a 24.1-hour period that dictates the sleep-wake cycle, differs among people and can influence whether we are a night owl or a morning lark.

Studies have indicated that self-described morning people have shorter circadian rhythms than self-identified night owls. This means that morning people sleep through their peak hour of sleepiness, so they wake up feeling refreshed. Evening types usually wake up right around their peak hour of sleepiness, so they may have high levels of melatonin and feel groggy. No wonder it’s tough to rouse them.

Hormones and body temperature also differ between the sleep groups. Early birds have higher levels of cortisol in the morning, which may give them the perky edge. Body temperature tends to be low in the morning, peaks in the late afternoon, and decreases until bedtime. Early risers have a body temperature peak around 3:30 p.m., while night owls are hottest around 8 p.m.

Our sleep preferences are at least in part hereditary. Differences in the CLOCK gene (short for Circadian Locomotor Output Cycles Kaput), for instance, may contribute to differences in our favored times of activity. Sleep researchers at Stanford University found that people with one genotype had an increased preference for eveningness, while the other genotype had an increased preference for morningness.

Biology and Behavior
Though our sleeping and waking preferences may be partially innate, some are due to what we’re used to from childhood, the seasons, or what we’ve adapted to. This means we can—and do—change our sleeping patterns.

For instance, during the summer, when daylight hours are plenty, we may stay up later but rise earlier with the sun. In the winter, darkness and cold sets in early, making our beds all that much more alluring. It’s also harder to wake early in the winter when it’s dark out.

Age also alters our sleeping patterns. Different times in our lives lend themselves to different sleeping patterns. During the teens, for instance, hormones may change the sleep and wake patterns, and this is one explanation as to why so many teens tend to shift to a night owl schedule. (Socializing, studying, and busy schedules also contribute.) Alternatively, as people get older, work and familial demands tend to make people more morning focused, regardless of their preferences. Later in life, in the sixties and seventies, people tend to need less sleep altogether.

In Sleep as in Life?
In reality, however, few of us are true morning people who can effortlessly bound out of bed at five or six in the morning; likewise die-hard night owls are also rare. Researchers estimate that extremes comprise about 10 to 20 percent of the population, with the rest of us falling somewhere on the intermediate spectrum. And in fact, the majority of us prefer a common point in the 24-hour continuum: daytime.

Song:Kryptonite

This is my favorite song now. i just like the song. :D

the title of the song is Kryptonite.

I'm trying to save us girl...
They got that...
They got that kryptonite...

[Verse 1:]
It seems the more I try to do right,
The more I lie about being at sessions and leaving at certain times,
She's like, "Where you at?"
I'm at the studio at home,
and I'm thinking to myself we cut that record days ago.
Cause shorty on the east side, hit me and want to know if I could stop by,
Now I'm comtemplating what I am gonna say, bout this being the umpteenth time that Im late.

[Chorus:]
I wanna be your superman,
I'm trying to save our love the best way that I can,
Cause these girls they're like kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
These girls got kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
And I really wanna make it work, but I cant stop messing round,
Out here dirt,
Cause these girls they're like kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
These girls got kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
Oh baby.

[Verse 2:]
It's like the more I brush them off, the more they call,
The more I want to tell them that I'm not involved,
With anyone, when I know it's you,
Wanna tell the truth but it's just so hard to do,
Caught up in me again it's driving me crazy
It's the reason I won't tell em i got a lady,
Now I'm trying to contemplate on what I am gonna say, on this being the umpteenth time that Im late.

[Bridge:]
No matter what I do, I know that your my true love,
But I just cant help it to get caught up with all these broads,
Sittin here with this mic in my hand,
Trying to record the words to make my baby understand.

[Chorus:]
I wanna be your superman,
I'm trying to save our love the best way that I can,
Cause these girls they're like kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
These girls got kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
And I really wanna make it work, but I cant stop messing round,
Out here doing dirt,
Cause these girls they're like kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
These girls got kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
Oh baby.

oooh yeah yeah

[Verse 3:]
I want you to be my louis lane,
Girl I promise I'm gonna change, and it aint gonna be this way forever,
Girl I'm gonna get myself together, cause your the one I love,
Because your like a drug that I can't get enough of,
I'm just so confused, dont know what to do,
Cause the way that it's feeling, I like how it's feeling,
It's getting so hard, to fight that feeling.

[Rap: Rich Boy]
I'm a rich boy riding in my big superstar shit,
The one girls try to get they text me on my sidekick
Bring em to my palace, tell em take it off we make a flick,
Every night I do it so at least one chick I gotta get
Just like kryptonite them girls make me super weak,
Suck my dick and play with me until they put me straight to sleep,
Twenty girls on my sheets, seven days out the week,
It's hard trying to hold it down with groupies trying to get with me,
I stay dreaming, fantasizing, with my eyes closed,
I love you girl but I'm addicted to them hoes
If ballin is a sin then God please forgive me,
My women so bad and my money so filthy really.

[Chorus: x2]
I wanna be your superman,
I'm trying to save our love the best way that I can,
Cause these girls they're like kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
These girls got kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
And I really wanna make it work, but I cant stop messing round,
Out here doing dirt,
Cause these girls they're like kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite,
These girls got kryptonite,
These girls my kryptonite

Bob's Idol

i saw the latest episode of survivor gabon and i was amazed by how real bob's fake idol looked like. he was sent to exile isalnd but the idol wasn't there anymore, so he created one to try to deceive the others. because of the merge, he was safe so he didn't use the idol. but it looked real. he must have spent hours to make that fake idol.

he's already old but he's still fighting. and i think he's the only good guy left.

Obama Video Game

i just found out a while ago that Obama has a video game. it will serve as the ultimate tribute for his win. i am still not sure if it's true, but if it is.....WOW! never expected that one.

Last

It's my last day in qatar now. i have one last day to enjoy this place before i go back to the philippines.

i wasn't able to see the whole of Qatar, but i was able to see enough places here. i was even able to watch the sun rise a while ago. we went to this place called sea line and we took pictures there while the sun was rising. we woke up 4 in the morning just to see that.

we went home and slept again after that. then we went to this place called souq, then to the city center(a mall). then we went to a few more places, then went back home. i wasn't able to buy anything.

i still have one last day to enjoy this place. (and i hope i will not spend this day fixing my stuff)
