Composition

we have a project in music that will be presented next week. and we must present an original composition using bamboo instruments.

i wrote the lyrics of the song. i wanted to make the whole song but i don't know how to put the tune, rhythm, beat, etc. this is not my first time to make a song(lyrics at least).

Movie

i watched a movie. it's not a popular movie. i just borrowed a dvd of the movie from a friend. it was about a man who entered a seminary. while in the seminary he met a woman. and in the end he needed to choose between being a priest or to be with the girl.

i liked the part where they sang and danced in the church.

Christmas Countdown

it's almost october and 87 days before christmas(i think). they say the christmas season starts in the -ber months.

Student's Life

ATENEO WINS

the score was 65-64 in favor of Ateneo, of course. But the best part was, all of us had one box of pizza EACH. family size. i didn't eat all of my pizza though. i was full already and there was still 4 pcs of pizza left. but before the game ended, i ate two more. i had 6 slices all in all. but also because of this, i will not eat dinner tonight. i am still full.

the next match will be on sunday. who will win? wait 'til sunday. haha.

Home Visit

Home Visit is part of our TD class. On October 14, 2007, Sunday, my partner and i will do the Home Visiting. we will go to our students' houses and spend time with their families. we will get to see the lives of our students outside the school. (for those who don't know, in TD, we teach public school students. we are their tutors.)

Research Paper

we are now doing a research paper about NGOs in the Philippines. we already started but i don't think i'm on the right track. i'll just hope that i don't mess this up. it's a major requirement, and i must do well in this project.

LONG TESTS

we already have lots of long tests now, even though we only started the second term 2 weeks ago.

my life--student's life. projects, tests, etc. but always remember to relax.

3D: Dvd, Dreams and Dog

i was supposed to create a post yesterday, but i failed to do so. now i forgot what i was about to post yesterday.

DVD

i was able to borrow 2 DVDs from my classmate. the best part--COMEDY. i like watching Comedy shows/movies. it makes me smile/laugh somehow. i want to just smile and laugh all my life. everybody wants to be happy.

Dreams

anybody can dream, right? yesterday, while walking, i thought about different things. things i want to accomplish before i die. (of course, how can i do these things if i'm dead?)

in case you are wondering what my dreams are, you can keep on wondering. hahaha!!!! as of this time, i still keep my dreams to myself. except one--i want to go to JAPAN!! haha. that's not a secret.

Dog

because og the dog bite, my parents got worried. a while ago, i decided to tell my parents that i got bitten by my classmate's dog. (after 2 days i told them--hey i still want to live! haha.) there was a death scare so i told them. people had been telling me things about dog bites, things i didn't want to hear. hahaha.

All In One Day

DOG ALERT

Martee's dog bit my hand. It's somehow funny since the dog bit me after Martee assured me that the dog doesn't bite anyone. I was playing with the dog when the dog bit me(ironic, huh?). I promise I will never play with him(the dog is a male one). He used to be my favorite dog. haha. I am scared of dogs but I thought this dog was different, until a while ago.

REPORT CARD

I couldn't believe the grades i saw in my report card. This works in both positive and negative ways. The last time I received an honor card was when I was in first year. I didn't get any honor card when I was in second year and third year. But now, I am happy to say that I am getting an honor card in the next Reading Of Honors. The sad part is, my teacher in Media(for some reason) gave me a B in conduct. Because of this, I will not get a conduct award. ADDED INFO: A lot of my classmates got a B in conduct in media. It makes me wonder. haha.

WASTED MONEY

I went to the shop where I buy my DVDs. But i was not able to buy anything. (for some reason i can't tell. hahahaha.) But to explain the heading, I spent some money to go there. It was wasted since i wasn't able to buy anything.

Meeting

i met with some of my classmates today. the plan was to compose a song for our music project and to make a powerpoint presentation for our music class.

BEFORE THE MEETING

11:00 am, my classmate called me up and told me to go to my classmate's house.(they are two different classmates) he told me to be at the gate of La Vista. i thought that maybe they'll pick me up there. or that the house was near the gate(it was not my first time to go to that house, but it was my first time to go there alone). when i reached the gate, my classmate sent me a text message with the address. i was in La Vista but my classmate lives in LGV. i had to walk from the gate to my classmate's house. the worse part, i got lost. after a long walk, i finally reached the house.

DURING THE MEETING

we didn't do the projects. we just played basketball. we played 21. after 3 rounds, we played a game, 2 on 2. we won. hahaha. i was supposedly the time to make the project but the plans changed.

AFTER THE MEETING

i was able to borrow a movie from my classmate. and after getting home, i watched the movie.

Events

The Party

i just arrived home from a party. it was not the usual party i attend to, since it had a different crowd, not the one i used to hang out with. but i still enjoyed the party. it was a celebration of the birthdays of different people.

UST Entrance Test

i am not taking the test, but goodluck to USTET(is this the right term??) takers. i have a friend who will take the test today(since it's 12:53 am).

3-day Weekend

it's a 3-day weekend. the report cards will be released on monday. this means no classes.

FOB

Fall Out Boy had a concert last Thursday and Friday. i didn't have the chance to watch it. some of my classmates were lucky enough to watch the concert. some people, including myself, wanted to watch the show but failed to.

Something Different

TD

So far, this is the worst TD tutoring day of my senior year. There's no need to know the details.

New Music

i am now listening to songs that are different from the songs i have listened to before. songs that are not english or filipino.

i am also watching the music videos. the videos are interesting.

i recommend you listen to the songs of other countries, watch music videos of other countries since, somehow, it will give you an idea about some things about the country.

Bad Day, Good Day

Round The Clock

BAD DAY

6:20 - I woke up late. i wanted to wake up early since i had things to do.

7:00 - (estimated time) I left the house. it was raining. i had 3 bags and i have to carry an umbrella. i decided to ride a cab but i can't find any.

8:00 - (estimated time) after 1 hour, i decided to just ride the LRT(it's like the subway here)

8:50 - i finally arrived in school. 1 hour five minutes late. 10 minutes before the end of the first subject. but i still had to get a late slip. and because of the rain, my pants got wet. good thing the prefect allowed me to change my clothes. i wore my PE uniform.

8:55 - 5 minutes before the end of the first period. i entered the classroom. upon entering, all my classmates looked at me, wondering why i was wearing my PE uniform and shocked since i came in 5 minutes before the end of the first period. when i reached my seat, i found out that i had no chair. the teacher couldn't continue his lesson beacuse of me. he just asked me to sit on the platform in front of the room so that he could continue with his lesson.

9:00 - we had a 5 minute break. i went to the covered courts to look for a chair.

10:40 - we had a test. i got one mistake because of carelessness. i knew the answer but i wrote another letter.

1:20 - (estimated time) my english teacher returned some tests. when she called my name, i got up, but i almost fell because i tripped- i tied my chair to my table, and because of this i tripped.

4:00 - (estimated time) i bought food-McDonalds. i ordered quarter pounder meal with sundae. it was a take out order. i took the food and went to a computer shop to play games with my classmates. while playing, i decided to eat the sundae. however i found out that there was no spoon in the plastic bag. i had to run again and get a spoon from McDonalds.

i will stop here.

GOOD DAY

9:25 - we had a test in Math. i think i did well on that test.

11:15 - it's judgment day. it was the time to test our balloon-powered race cars. to get a perfect score, the car must travel at least 5 meters(yes, the rules changed). my car was able to travel 8 meters--someone blocked my car so it stopped. but i still get a perfect score.

notice that there are only 2 things written under GOOD DAY. i hope next time, there will be more things written under GOOD DAY than BAD DAY.

but as kristoff(topher) said, think positive. (not the exact words, but the same meaning)

maybe, it's really a matter of perspective.

i finished watching another DVD! i watched the DVD before working on my project. it was interesting. but the "watching" continues. i have one more DVD to watch. (ONE MORE??-TIME TO BUY MORE DVDS)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Last Saturday, September 15, a friend celebrated his birthday--Ned. But the party never stops. He invited us a while ago and he celebrated his birthday again. he treated us--PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!! rich kid!


AN UNEXPECTED CALL

around 5:30 in the morining, my phone(mobile phone) rang. it was my sister. she asked about the entrance test i took last saturday, my studies, my life in general, and other things.

RELEASE OF REPORT CARDS

On monday, our report cards will be released. NO CLASSES!!!

Stampede

A while ago, pao-my classmate who went to the states-went back to school. He arrived here in the philippines last week but it was only a while ago that he went back to school.

He brought 2 giant bags of candy and chocolate. And after finding out that he had those sweets with him, my classmates rushed to my table to get some candy and chocolate. The bag was put on my desk(my desk is beside the desk of pao now). It was like a mini version of the ultra stampede, only... there were less people and the people were rushing because of sweets.

This post was supposed to be long. But i think the computer is experiencing a problem.

Maybe tomorrow, i'll post a longer one.

Finally

i don't have to worry anymore about the ACET. there are many things i worry about. it's a good thing that one of them is gone.

but there are still a lot of stuff to do. most of them are related to school.

good thing watching dvds can help me relax.

After 3 days

i was not able to post for 3 days( i think).

but now, i am back!!!!

free day
i was busy the last few days. our exams just ended, but i don't know why i am still busy. now, i feel tired. all i want to do is relax. good thing there will be no classes tomorrow.

i wonder what i'll do tomorrow. i have an appointment tomorrow, but i think it will only take me an hour or 2. maybe i'll think of something tomorrow.

the big race
for our physics class, we need to make a baloon-powered car. to have a passing grade, the car must travel 5 meters. to get a perfect score, the car must travel at 20 meters. to beat the record the car must travel more than 50 meters(i think). the sad part is, i don't know how to make one.

this saturday, i will take the ACET. goodluck to all the takers.

first performance
4 weeks from now, we will have our first performance in music. we have to use bamboo to make the instruments we will use for the presentation. aside, from making the instruments, we also have to make a song.

Mixed Feelings

1 vs 100
A while ago, I was watching 1 vs 100. It's the new game/quiz show of abs-cbn hosted by Edu Manzano.

The player(or "The One" as they call it) was Mariel Rodriguez. She won 440,000 pesos. She took the money instead of the MOB(the 100 people to beat in the game) after seeing the next question.

The funny part was, while playing she was moving and moving(teasing the MOB, i guess). While she was dancing she tripped and almost fell. Good thing she was able to hold on to the bar.

My classmate who went to the states is coming back on wednesday.

music
For this term, we will have music classes. Last term we had media. I am a little nervous because of the upcoming music classes. I like listening to music, and I like all kinds of music. This is not the first time I'm gonna take music classes. But I think music will be harder this time. We will have two presentations.

learning
Weeks ago, I started studying three languages. But now, I am also trying to study different things about the three countries. I listened to their songs(I needed english translations though), watched some videos, and researched about some things. It's good to learn and witness things about other countries. I have this dream of going to different places and countries. I want to explore the world and I can start with learning some things about other places using some books and the powerful internet.

Happenings

getting used to some things

A while ago, my mom left and is now on her way back to Bicol. She started to live there when I was in grade 6. But every vacation(sem break, christmas, summer), we go to Bicol. She also visits us from time to time. It's not that bad.

I remembered when she first left. It was very hard for us since we were used to having her beside us all the time. All of a sudden she's leaving. But as the time went by, we slowly got used to it. It has its benefits anyway.


EXAMS!!

Also a while ago, 3 exam papers were returned--English, Religion, Math. But my grades are CONFIDENTIAL!! haha.

On September 15, many students will take the ACET-Ateneo College Entrance Test. Goodluck to all the takers. Let's just do our best. haha.

Done

Great!! in my previous post,(the one with the title: Changing My Perspective) i talked about the two books i was able to read in one day. one of the books was The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. but i never mentioned about the other book. i focused on The Alchemist. Now, it's time to talk about the other book.

The other book was Catcher In The Rye.
The author of this book is J.D. Salinger.

It is about a young man and the life he had as a student, and as a person. The main character, Holden Caulfeild, had a sister named Phoebe. I find Phoebe amusing, especially in the last parts of the book(because it was only in the last parts that Phoebe had major appearances. haha).

But, the thing that amazes me now, is that a while ago, i learned that we are supposed to read Catcher In The Rye as part of our English class. When I read this book, it was only for leisure. Now, it is a requirement. But i am done. Haha.

Tapos na ang Paghihirap

kanina, last day na ng exams. Physics ang final test namin, pero ang labo. noong simula ang bilis ko sumagot. biglang nung last page na, nahirapan na ako.

pero ayaw ko na isipin yun.

plano at sinabi ko sa sarili ko nung monday na 500 lang gagastusuin ko sa week na ito, exam week naman eh. pero kanina nagkayayaan kumain sa t-boy. napagastos ako. thursday pa lang pero lampas na agad sa budget. haha. pero ok na rin. busog naman ako eh. sulit naman. totoo nga hindi ko pa naubos.

After One Month

after one month, my account is still alive. yesterday, september 4, my blog turned one month old. this is one big achievement for me. this is my first online account that reached one month. i am now looking forward to many more months and even years of this blog.

Hell Week
this week is our exam week--tuesday, wednesday, thursday. yesterday, we had math(very difficult test), and filipino. a while ago, we had religion, and english. tomorrow, we will have physics.

i watched a video a while ago, and i want to share it with you(whoever reads this blog/post)
i find it amusing. maybe you will find it amusing too. (just maybe)

last sunday, umalis na ang aking ate. 1:00 pa lang ng madaling araw nandoon na kami sa airport--hindi naman dahil sa na-eexcite kami, pero maaga kami para kung sakaling may problema, may oras pa para ayusin. after 6 months pa namin siya ulit makikita. pero ok na rin yun, dream job niya yun eh.
